Baking Soda really does work for acne, well worth a try.

Asking yourself the question can baking soda help with acne and pimples on your face is telling me you are looking for a home remedy for acne. I can answer this question from my own experience and offer you the advice of what I found successful. My form of acne would have been classed as moderate. I spend countless Euro’s with doctors and dermatologists in Ireland. I moved to the US to study in my early days and since have moved back to Ireland now. During my time in the US my acne was at its peek and causing me discomfort and embarrassment. I would have tried anything. I was based in Florida so the heat wasn’t helping my cause, I wasn’t used to that heat and was sweating until I got used to the Florida weather.

A colleague of mine mentioned using baking soda to help with my acne. With nothing to lose and with a college budget I could afford to give baking soda a try. Again I will mention I tried countless over the counter products and for the first time after a few weeks of daily washing with baking soda I could see and feel good results. I can only speak for myself but I was pleasantly surprised and continued using baking soda but I also used a number of other home remedies to treat acne. Apple cider vinegar is classed as a suitable option but I found it left a bit of a heat rash which in turn showed up my acne region but in fairness was good for the lesion pain relief. Reading other reviews apple cider vinegar for acne works great.

All in all when it comes to home remedies for acne you really need to do a little bit of experimenting to see what suits you. Lemon juice for acne or lime juice is also highly rated (of course mixed with water). If your acne is aggressive you may need antibiotics or other medication to keep it under control but if the question is “can baking soda help with acne and pimples on your face” my answer is it; it worked well for me and is well worth a try.
