Rosacea is a skin conditions that affects adults and is similar to sun burn with differing symptoms such as redness, itching, burning and tightening of the skin and acne that is generally under the skin and inflamed. Swelling of the nose, chin or forehead isn’t common but for some is a problem.


The treatment for Rosacea is determined by a Dermatologist or similar Skin specialist. Oral creams gels or antibiotics are sometimes recommended. Rosecea unlike acne doesn’t have white heads or black heads and squeezing or picking the skin will only result in a liquid being expelled which will spread the problem. People who blush easily are generally susceptible to the condition.


The condition is not limited to men or women but affects both but is generally worse for men. There are no specific reasons for Rosecea but heredity factors, sun exposure gastrointestinal infections and medicines that affect the blood vessels. Emotional triggers hormone levels and exercise which raises the body temperature can be trigger factors. Menopausal women and women mid cycle will experience an onset of Rosacea. Treatments of this skin condition vary from pulse light treatment to microdermabrasion.


Spicy foods alcohol and dairy produce, red wine and chocolate are said to be trigger factors. The natural remedies for improvement of the condition include green tea cream topical or oral treatment of vitamin B3 can help to minimise the condition. A low level of Riboflavin because
of a poor diet or insufficient absorbsion of the B vitamin in the body can contribute to Rosscea. Demodex Folliculorum mites on the skin are a problem for those people who have a lowered immune system related to Cancer or HIV and Aids.


Foods rich in BVitamin such as leafy greens, berries, brown rice red meat and sweet corn are essential for the correct functioning of the immune system and the intestines. Apple cider vinegar consumed can stimulate the digestive enzymes necessary to regulate the bacteria that cause Rosacea. Zinc, Burdock and sarsaparilla, B Vitamins, Chamomile and Aloe Vera will sooth inflamed skin. Traditional acne treatments such as Hydroxide Acids acne peels exfoliants toners and alcohol based products can inflame or exaggerate the problem.


Aspirin (2) made with honey and yogurt in the form of a mask will sooth inflamed irritated skin. Tee tree oil is a good way cleansing the skin especially for Dermadox mites which are present in the sebaceous glands.


Sea Buckthorn is effective for the Dermodex Folliculorum mite. For preventative measures wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or more avoid alcohol based products and skin irritation products wash the face with warm water as opposed to hot, with topical medication don’t apply moisturizer until the product has dried in. Foods or supplements that boost the bodies immune system will help with Rosacea.
