Sometimes home remedies can offer soothing relief from Cystic Acne. There are a number of remedies you can try and many consist of products you will have in your weekly groceries.

Cystic acne is a form of acne that results in large painful cysts that can be very noticeable and very embarrassing for the sufferer. They usually occur in young teenagers around the time of puberty and in people experiencing hormonal problems or changes. Acne is basically pores clogged up by sebum and bacteria building up on the skin causing infection resulting in a mass of blackheads and large pimples or cysts. Cystic Acne is different as it is the inflammation of the pores that contain white blood cells due to bacterial infection. They can be very painful and can leave permanent scars.

There are lots of over the counter remedies and medical creams and lotions but before embarking on this approach I suggest using home remedies as they have no chemicals that can cause skin reactions and are natural and found in every kitchen cupboard across the country. It is also highly recommendable to add plenty of fruit and vegetables to the diet as they contain lots of vitamins essential to skin renewal. Make sure the skin is well hydrated drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day and eating plenty of natural sourced fish oils that will supply the body with sufficient doses of vitamin A the number one acne fighting vitamin.

Honey is a great way to sweeten foods instead of sugar. It helps purify the blood and renews the production of new skin cells. It is also a great antibacterial moisturizer when applied directly to the skin. Apple cider vinegar applied onto a cotton bud and rubbed on the effected area will help maintain the ph levels of the skin balancing out oil areas helps to unblock pores. A great exfoliant to aid in skin renewal is baking soda and sea salt mixed into a paste and applied to the skin weekly, this is to help eliminated dead skin cells and clear pores but is harsh to sensitive skin so should be done weekly only. Potato juice contains alkaline that will help neutralize oil forming on the skin and egg whites have an astringent quality that when applied to the skin daily will help keep pores clean and tight. Remember that plenty of clean living with no alcohol and plenty of exercise is an essential part of clearing acne permanently.
